About Rabbi Hammer:
Brief Bio: Rabbi Shalom Hammer lives in Israel now for 32 years and serves as a lecturer in the IDF for both the educational branch and the Jewish Identity branch of the army. He is also a teacher for the Netiv conversion course of the IDF. He is the founder and director of Makom Meshutaf which offers non-denominational and non-coercive Jewish educational programming for Kibbutzim, and Pre Military Academies throughout Israel, currently under the auspices of Mizrachi Olami/World Mizrachi. Rabbi Hammer has authored ten books, including a series of children’s books called Gila Spreads Joy, based on true stories about Gila.
