At Downtown Jewish Community Center Chabad, membership is more than joining an organization—it is becoming part of a family.

Twenty-six years ago, a young Rabbi Kaplan, his wife Devorah, and their oldest son Mendel set out on a mission that would bring them to what Rabbi Kaplan affectionately calls “the Corner of Here and There.” Inspired by the Rebbe’s vision, they came with a dream to build a warm, welcoming Jewish community where every person would feel seen, valued, and connected. Together with an extraordinary community of families and friends, that dream has grown into a vibrant Chabad House filled with Torah, prayer, friendship, celebration, acts of kindness, and opportunities for every Jew to grow, and belong.

Whether you come to socialize with friends, pray, celebrate Shabbat and the holidays, immerse yourself in the timeless wisdom and profound teachings of Judaism, reconnect with your Jewish roots, stand proudly with the Land of Israel, enjoy a Kiddush, provide your child with an authentic, nurturing Jewish education, or simply find a community that feels like home, there is always a place for you at DJCC.
