The Chassidic variation of the #metoo movement:

Set in the Hasidic enclave of Borough Park, Brooklyn, 93QUEEN follows a group of tenacious Hasidic women who are smashing the patriarchy in their community by creating the first all-female volunteer ambulance corps in New York City. With unprecedented — and insider — access, 93QUEEN offers up a unique portrayal of a group of empowered women who are taking matters into their own hands to change their own community from within.

93QUEEN, won the top inaugural first look Pitch Fund prize at the 2017 Hot Docs Forum and World Premiered at the 2018 Hot Docs International Canadian Film Festival followed by ongoing screenings at dozens of film festivals around the world.

Released by Abramorama, 93QUEEN’s Academy Award qualifying national theatrical run opened in 25 U.S cities, including a six week hold over in NYC’s IFC Center. 93QUEEN had additional theatrical releases in Canada and Israel.

Most recently, 93QUEEN was nominated for the 2018 Women Film Critics Circle’s KAREN MORLEY AWARD for best exemplifying a woman’s place in history or society, and a courageous search for identity.

In September 2018, 93QUEEN was broadcast on PBS’s prestigious award-winning series POV and was the sole documentary film in 2018 selected to receive marketing support from the NYC Mayor’s Office Made in NY film program. Upcoming international broadcasts include Arte in France and Germany as well as yes Docu in Israel.
