Light & Remember

Not very long ago 6 million men, women and children were killed just for being Jewish, and we are alive today to carry on their name and share the light & love of our people!!

Join us this Sunday in a Yom Hashoa candle lighting ceremony honoring the 6 million who perished in the Holocaust.
DJCC has joined with the Israeli organization, Shem Vener to light close to 1 million candles bearing the name and details of holocaust victims. We have 100 of these candles that will be lit by our school families.
The ceremony will be led by Samantha Mayor – Student Survivor of the Stoneman Douglass shooting. She is one of the students that Rabbi Kaplan visited in the hospital after the MSD shooting. She is doing much better and will honor us with her presence -and her family- to the lead this momentous ceremony and light 17 candles for her fellow students and faculty.

Please consider being part of this important moment in history and in our community and mark the anniversary of Yom Hashoa – Holocaust Memorial day.
NEVER FORGET!!!
